Easter is one of my favorite holidays, I love dressing my kids up in beautiful spring colors and enjoying the warmer temperatures outside together. I also look forward to seeing the excitement on my kids faces, while they hunt for easter eggs.
About Newfoundland Chocolate Company
Chief Chocolate Officer Brent Smith created the Newfoundland Chocolate Company along with his wife, Christina Dove. The first Newfoundland Chocolate Company products were sold in 2008 at the Manufactured Right Here Show in St. John’s. In 2010 Brent and Christina bought the building on Duckworth Street and in December of that year, the company opened the doors to St. John’s only artisan-made chocolate shop. The name was carefully chosen to reflect the company’s pride in being from Newfoundland.
The Newfoundland Chocolate Company only use the very finest of Belgian, Swiss and French gourmet couverture chocolate, that is made from only the very finest of cocoa beans. Their chocolates are pure and free of additives and preservatives – so they are best enjoyed before the date indicated, although chocolate in my home doesn’t last very long.
The Newfoundland Chocolate Company sent me a selection of their latest Easter products to review.
I truly appreciate the craftsmanship and dedication that the chocolatiers put into making these delicious chocolate bunnies.
The Townie Bunny is a 54% dark chocolate that’s smooth and strong tasting but not too overpowering , it’s loaded with caramel and pecans and was throughly enjoyed by my husband.
The Bayman Bunny is a rich and smooth tasting milk chocolate with a hint of biscotti and sea salt. It contained just enough blueberries and cranberries to add to the taste.
These Puffin eggs are not your average size milk chocolate eggs that you buy in the stores. They are large size solid milk chocolate eggs, that are colorfully wrapped and comes in a pretty silk gift bag. My kids loved the eggs and said they were the best milk chocolate eggs that they’ve tasted.
The generous folks from the Newfoundland Chocolate Company has offered one of my readers the chance to win a Easter Prize Pack ( 3 Chocolate Bunnies & Puffin Milk Chocolate eggs) valued at $40
