I received these Halloween themed books to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own.
A Fun Selection Of Halloween themed books
October is just around the corner. My kids enjoy having candy, however they also enjoy having Halloween themed stories to read to get them in the ghouly spirit.
Brunhilda’s Backwards Day
This is a funny story about how rewarding it is to be kind, than by being mean.
Brunhilda the witch just loves to cause trouble. Each morning, she wakes up on the wrong side of the bed, puts on her ugliest dress, eats spider mush for breakfast, and brushes her teeth with candy. Then she looks in the mirror and happily observes, “You are utterly repulsive!” As soon as she leaves the house, she begins to spread her misery. No one is safe from her rainy-day spells or her wart-growing charms!
Bella Donna: Too Many Spells
Bella Donna seems just like any ordinary student at her school, but she has a secret: she’s really a witch! The other witches who live on Coven Road are having a spell casting contest, and Bella is determined to win. She’s trying to learn as many spells as she can, and that’s no small thing! It’s not easy to complete secret magic training while trying to live a normal-kid life. When strange things start to happen at school and begin to spin out of control, Bella wonders if she can really do it. Maybe there are just too many spells!
Capturing Cressella: Unofficial Stories For Pokemon Collectors #2
Welcome to Camp Pikachu, where kids can act out adventures from their favorite Pokémon games and cartoons, battling other teams to earn points and badges and, if they’re lucky, make it into the Summer Camp Hall of Fame!
Marco, Nisha, Logan, and Maddy can’t wait to embark on their latest adventure: Pokémon Orienteering! The friends are eager to catch sight of the legendary Cresselia. So, armed with just a map and a set of clues, they strike out to explore the forest around Camp Pikachu. But when the clues lead the group straight to the shore of a nearby lake, Marco is shocked to realize that the only way to move forward is to ride a zip line across the water.
