Since we live in a technology world, It may come as such a surprise that our kids absolutely love board games. Over the years we have gone through a wide array of games from some of the popular standards we have had growing up, to newer games that are catching on. Goliath Games has a wide array of new games on the market just in time for the summer vacation that definitely caught our kids’ attention and are sure to catch yours as well. Check out these new games to help keep boredom at bay during the summer.
We had a bundle of laughs playing Greedy Granny with the girls. This game was a hit, as the girls tried to take the cookies without waking up Granny. She surly loves her sweets, but she’s not great at sharing. As she snoozes, spin the treat wheel to see which sweet to swipe. Be quiet, one wrong move will wake Granny up and send her teeth flying! Be the first player to collect one of each of her treats to win the game!
Get ready to have a REEL-y good time when you play Shark Bite! Place the fun and colorful sea creatures into the game unit with a snap, and round up your family or friends to start playing. Players take turns rolling the die and fish for the sea creatures using the fishing rods. But watch out – you never know when the shark is going to bite!
Build or Boom
My youngest daughter played Build or Boom with her sister. She really enjoyed building the structures and was determined to destroy her sister’s structure first. Step in line and see who can be the first to bring the blueprint cards to life. Build your structure quickly yet carefully on your platform. Then SMASH your boomer to send your opponent’s structure tumbling. There’s only room for one builder in this town… do you have what it takes?
Another of my daughter’s family game night favorites Is Barbecue Party, the BBQ game that decides if you’re a grill master or a dinner disaster! Choose your card to see what food you get to put onto the grill, but watch out, this baffling barbecue may jump, causing all the food to go flying off.
My daughter invited a few friends over for a play date and they had a blast playing Gooey Louie. Pick a winner with Gooey Louie, who “nose” what you’ll find when you dig in and try? But watch out . . . if you pick the wrong gooey from Louie his eyes will pop, he’ll flip his lid, his head will pop open, and his brain will fly out! Who knew a booger game could be so much fun?
