Recently I received an invite to attend a Sailun Car Clinic that was being hosted by Coast Tire in Saint John New Brunswick. The idea of the car clinic is to help women learn to maintain their vehicle properly, although men are also welcome to attend. I was excited to attend, and thought it’s high time I learned how to maintain our family vehicle.
After being introduced to Coast Tires employees and Sailun Tires Marketing team, we watched a Sailun Tires presentation which was very informative. It went over important details like why we needed to monitor our tire pressure on a regular basis, and discussed where we would find the accurate tire pressure specific to that particular vehicle. Then we headed out to the garage to see what goes on under the hood.
The mechanics showed us where to find the sticker showing the correct tire sizes and pressures as well as showing us where we would find the oil and transmission dipsticks and how to check to make sure we had the correct amounts. He also went over some of the lights on the dashboard, inside of the vehicles, covering details like the fact that a yellow light means we had time to get the vehicle to a mechanic ourselves while a red light meant that we needed to get a tow instead.
We also stepped outside and were shown how to properly change a tire using the jack that is included in the vehicle and then we were given the opportunity to change a tire ourselves. We were also greeted with a tote bag full of Sailun goodies and offered plenty of snacks and drinks before we left.
Many thanks to Coast Tire, Sailun Tires and PTPA
