About Small Frocks:

Hope Lum (creator of Small Frocks) grew up in a creative household. her mother, her aunt, and uncle, and both her grandmothers dabbled in some combination of oil painting, ceramics, sewing, and quilting. For her, summers were basically like a loosely organized art camp. She tried to replicate their techniques when they were not looking and was always pilfering through their supplies, much to their chagrin, and making a “hellacious mess,”  Decades later, she is still up to her same old tricks and she can often be found pilfering around antique, fabric and art stores asking herself, “I wonder what would happen if…” And this is how Small Frocks was born.

My daughter absolutely loves her dress and was dancing and twirling around and posing while trying it on.  The dress felt extremely durable, while still feeling and looking like quality fabric, and the dress fits true to size.  My daughter loved that she could change the collar to make it into a new dress.  She also can’t wait for the warmer weather to arrive here in Canada, so she can wear the dress outside.

The Small Frocks’ Classic Float Dress is made with 100% Pima cotton pinwale pique, which is considered to be one of the superior blends of cotton.  It’s quite durable and designed to last.  It’s also very adaptable, the ruffle around the neckline disguises a removable collar.
