I love the idea of the Eggnog Cheesecake and the Delicious Cake Ball. My mum always baked and made her own fruit cake weeks before Christmas. A skewer was used to make holes in the top and regularly rum was dripped in, then on went a layer of marzipan completely surrounding the cake, on top of that came royal icing and some decorations – I’m surprised that we kids were allowed any though I never tasted any rum I must admit and I really enjoyed my piece of cake. :-).
