The best gift I received was Cabbage Patch dolls the year they were all the rage and the stores sold out. My brother was driving a tow truck at the time and pulled someone out of the ditch that had bought several of them to sell “for more money” and the guy didn’t have enough money on him to pay for the call so my brother took payment in the form of the dolls…lol! He made me one very happy girl!

My Cabbage Patch Kid Carina Doris was the best gift I ever received as a child. It was the year that they were nearly impossible to get, and when I opened all my presents Christmas morning I hadn’t received one so I figured my parents just weren’t able to get one since I knew they were sold out everywhere. Then before dinner that night my mom asked me to run upstairs and grab her something from the linen closet, which was beside my bedroom, and when I went up my bedroom light was on so I went into the doorway to switch it off and there she was, my precious CPK sitting in the middle of my bed. My step dad had lined up in the wee hours of a December morning to snag one from the last shipment to Woodward’s before Christmas and they waited all day Christmas to surprise me (while also testing my reaction I think – thank goodness I didn’t have a tantrum!!). It was the best surprise and best present ever!! I cherished that doll. And I have the best parents. 🙂

That’s a tough one to answer but it was probably the bike I inherited from my brother – I was so proud of that bike. I remember my dad walking behind me holding onto the saddle but when I turned to look he was miles back. It was a shock but I did manage not to fall. 🙂
