Disclosure: I received Mary Macleod’s shortbread samples to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
Some of my family members originated from Scotland and while I never did acquire the taste for Haggis, homemade Shortbread on the other hand was a traditional family staple in our home. Over the years my children have also had the opportunity to bake some homemade shortbread and have really taken to it.
I received a selection of Mary Macleod’s cookies to sample, and they arrived just in time for Mother’s Day. It was the first business in Canada that sold hand-made, pure, small-batch shortbread cookies. Mary built her business by gaining the trust of the community, genuinely appreciating every customer, and of course, by making the finest shortbread cookies possible.
There are twenty two melt in the mouth cookies in this 7 Inch Round container. It’s all wrapped up in beautiful ribbons and bows, which makes this a beautiful Mother’s day Gift or great special treat to share with friends.
- Rich dutch chocolate
- Signature chocolate crunch
These truly are a delicious gift and my family loved the opportunity to sample them. My husband’s personal favorite was the dutch chocolate shortbread but he loves all shortbread. He found this to be one of the best that he had tried.
Our kids were mixed on which ones were their favorites but it was clear that they enjoyed them all, since there was none left by the time they were done. If the mothers in your life enjoy fine foods, this is definitely something that is sure to please.
