Over the past few summers we have taken a number of trips to various destinations. However, as our vehicle is getting older we decided we did not want to drive up the mileage with long distance travel. This especially is true when we started looking at rental car prices. We realized that it is actually quite cost efficient, and we could have better fuel mileage by having a newer vehicle for travel. The fuel savings alone almost saved us as much as we spent on the rental.
There are a few huge questions though and this always means doing research. Amongst the things we were looking at this summer, when we prepped for our trip was finding what provided the best fuel mileage. What provided enough room for our teenagers long legs? And even what vehicles had proper tie downs for our youngest child’s car seat?
In order for us to do our research, I visited a number of different manufacturer’s websites looking at specs. I also drove around to Car Dealers looking at the different vehicles. All so that we did not get something that would not accommodate our needs. In the end we got something that suited our needs, however it took a lot of looking to find it.
Cars.com Even Looks At Car Seat Safety
So imagine my surprise, when I realized there was actually a website that could help me with all of this, when I went to prepare for next years trip. Cars.com has all the details I could want, including a lot of information about cars and car seats. They walk you through, making sure it is Installed correctly. Cars.com even has a page on their website dedicated to testing various vehicles with car seats. They identify the ones that are best designed to accommodate a car seat in a fashion that is safe for the child.
