Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to Safari Niagara for the purposes of this review. All opinions are my own
I went into Safari Niagara expecting a large zoo with a great number of animals. I had also heard about their splash park, so I knew that this was going to be a great day. The reality though was even better than the anticipation as everything was greater than I could have imagined.
My youngest daughter loved the kid’s rides. The rides are mostly designed for those under 48″ allowing an opportunity for the younger kids to get a turn on some really cool rides. This is something that does not always happen in similar parks. In addition there was an incredible rope and tower course that was designed for older kids that was extremely impressive. There were safety ropes to keep everyone secure from falling and an incredibly intricate path that is guaranteed to impress those with a bit of a thrill for adventure.
Splash Pad
When we visited Safari Niagara it was a very hot day. My kids were very grateful to cool off at the splash Pad after our stroll through the park. They spent a couple of hours cooling off and having a whale of a time here. This is one of the best splash pads that I have come across yet. It features Teeter totters, rockers & sprayers and was manned by two lifeguards, at the time of our visit.
It’s Nice to Meet you too!
All of the animals at Safari Niagara are well cared for and some of them are very friendly as well. We saw an incredible variety of animals from an entire section dedicated to Big Cats and even a Rhinoceros and a Hippopotamus. The various enclosures were large and in one area we saw a new Big Cat exhibit being built that was absolutely massive and would definitely allow a lot of room for the animals when they were moved. Chattering monkeys, Eagles and other animals all added to make this a fun well-rounded zoo experience.
I was actually extremely surprised at not only the quality and quantity of food but the price. The food was definitely plentiful and we did not go away hungry. Even more importantly I found the food to be cheaper than in many other attractions and even many standard restaurant type environments. And we must not forget the most important part. It was actually extremely good food. The restaurant was busy every time I went past, but the wait times were well within what I would call standard for a busy attraction. It was definitely quick enough to keep the kids happy and fed.
Looks fun!! I love visiting zoos and seeing all the animals! it’s great that they have a splash park and rides too!!
Looks like a super spot for a family day with the kids!! Wish I was closer!! 🙂
oh my gosh that looks like such a blast! Splash pads are always a hit and my kiddos love animals so i know they would have an interest in seeing them up close instead of tv or books. that jungle gym looks too cool. i would have no problem going on that lol
This would be a great day for kids and adults- food and rides and wonderful animals.
