The school year is almost over and the kids are getting excited about all the joys of Summer. With the warm weather and outdoor activities comes sunburns and unwanted allergies. Both can keep you from enjoying the fun in the sun. Be smart and take the necessary precautions to make the most of those sunny days.
Here are some of the things I do to stay summer smart:
Enjoy the sun Responsibly!
Making a conscious choice to keep your skin happy and healthy is crucial all year, but especially in the summer season. Finding your right sunscreen can be challenging, but the new Coppertone ClearlySheer Whipped leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. The rich and creamy foam absorbs quickly while protecting me from the sun’s harmful rays.
Don’t Sweat it.
Staying active and exploring the outdoors is an integral part of a successful summer. But when you sweat, there are extra steps you need to take to be sun safe, including hydrating more often and choosing a sunscreen that can take the heat. For sunscreen, the Coppertone Sport Sunscreen Stick has you covered. It stays on strong when you sweat.
Don’t Overdo it.
We all want to make the most of the beautiful weather but knowing your limits and taking appropriate breaks is important to enjoy the summer responsibly. Monitor your breathing and heat levels. If your body is telling you to rest and cool down, make sure you listen.
Treat your Seasonal Allergies.
With the blooms and buds comes pollen. A runny nose, sneezing and tearing of the eyes can force us indoors, depriving us of enjoying those glorious summer days. When my allergies start acting up, I take Aerius. It gives me multi-symptom 24-hour relief. Aerius is non-drowsy so it can help you function normally, both at school and at work.

Thx very much for the tips. I have allergies and find the medication my doctor suggested I take keeps me awake all night. I haven’t tried Aerius yet, will inquire with my pharmacist to see if I can take it.

Coppertone ClearlySheer Whipped sounds like a good product…

I cover up with long sleeve white tees and hat.Coconut oil has a 15 sunscreen prevention.

I make sure that my kids wash their hands when they come in from outside. They have allergies so I want to make sure that they don’t rub their eyes/noses with allergen-coated hands.
I wear sunscreen daily and I keep a water bottle with me at all times.
Great information that people need to hear and use to make sure they keep their skin healthy during Summer months.
sunscreen and fluids – I may forget my child but I will remember the sunscreen and water!
These are all great tips! I have a teen who is at the age where they think they are invincible, no matter how many articles or news reports I show her she wants to tan. It scares the heck out of me!
Great tips! I know I tend to overdo it and have felt the effects of too much sun!
I coach my son’s Little League all-star team and umpire so I am out in the sun and on the diamond all day every weekend. I drink lots of water and reduce my caffeine intake to stay hydrate and on those really hot sunny days, I usually wear a long sleeve light t-shirt to keep my skin covered.
I use sunscreen and try to stay out of the sun. I should add a sun hat and long sleeves, too.
All great tips to help you enjoy the summer!
I have to remind myself to not overdo the sun. Some is great but not too much. Especially if I’m out on the water in the boat I need to cover up my skin more.
